Fanatics Acquires Topps for $500 Million
Fanatics’ deal to acquire Topps for $500 million was made official on January 4th. The agreement includes trading cards and collectibles for both sports and entertainment.
Fanatics can now start making officially licensed baseball cards, and they also take on Topps’ existing deals with UEFA, Bundesliga, Major League Soccer, and Formula 1.
The company has also reached long-term deals with the NBA, NFL, and their respective players associations to produce licensed cards beginning once current deals expire.
