Michael Jordan’s 1992 Olympics-Worn Jersey Sells for More Than $3 Million
An autographed Michael Jordan Dream Team jersey, worn during the 1992 Olympics, sold for $3,030,000 with Goldin Auctions on May 25th. The jersey comes from Dream Team teammate Karl Malone’s personal collection. Along with his signature, Jordan inscribed “To Karl, Good Luck.”
Malone’s entire collection was auctioned off with Goldin. This included a game-worn jersey and pair of shoes from all his Dream Team teammates. Jordan’s shoes, also autographed, sold for $420,000. Other items that sold for six figures included a Magic Johnson jersey, Larry Bird jersey, Charles Barkley jersey, and David Robinson jersey. In all, the entire collection sold for more than $5.6 million.
